HINTS FOR
HOMEMAKERS
By Irene James, Home
Service Director, Viri.-inla Electric

Our winter days are short and so
often on Sunday or a holiday after
a heavy mid-day meal we require
only a simple supper, but unlike the
summer evening when a cold snack
is the thing, we wish to serve some
thing hot. Friends may drop in and
we would like to serve them some
thing tasty.
Let's take the Waffle Baker off
the shelf?Waffles are so versatile.
Such a variety of batters and these
batters may be prepared well in ad
vance.
When heating your waffle baker
always have it open until the heat is
uncomfortable to the hand then
close it to complete the heating. It is
especially desirable to do this if the
baker has beerv stored where, it is
quite cold. This treatment prevents
sweating. Sweating often causes the
first waffle to stick.
There are many ways of serving
waffles. . I
