A meeting place oi our own is what the Scouts of Wil liamston have been wanting and needing for a long time. We would like to thank the Lions Club for starting the drive and for their do nation of $1000. We promise to do anything in our power to help make the drive a success. Gilbert told me the other day the Scouts of Troop 29 may have a swim ming hour at the pool this year like we did for a while last year, but it isn’t an actual fact, as of last Thurs I want to start something new in this column. I got the idea from Boy’s Life, the Scout magazine. May be some of you have seen the column in Boy’s Life called “From Our Duf fle Bag.” Boys send in suggestions for games, handicraft, camping, or what have you. This way ideas can be swapped easily. C,, has been transferred to (he Atlantic Fluiot's anti-aircraft training and test center, Dam Neck, Va., where thousands of Navy gun ners are trained in the actual firing of the anti-aircraft guns used by our ships and amphibious forces. He was formerly assigned to the Navy’s gunner's mate school at Bain bridge, Md., training for the rating of gunner’s mate.
