There were approximately three hundred people to enjoy the home talent cast. The stage was provid ed with an altar and the tradition al candelabra with burning white tapers Mr. Norman Everett, with his boutonniere ot a most colorful and rooty collat'd, very graciously j ushered in the honorable H. S •Johnson, Jr., and his very charm in^ wife, David Boyd, as Mr. anc Mrs. Wheathearts, uncle and aun j of the bride. The audience wa: afraid that the refreshment: would not last if each of the guest: had an appetite like that of tht j bride's aunt. Surely we can no j forget the consoling Miss Nose; Toadvine (Vernon Suits) and he j constant care of the jilted sweet heart, Miss Ubika Seratchfce; nlaved by Frank Everett. Mr , Stanley Ayers as the negro mam mv. Aunt Hominy Grits, was sim j ply Splendid. Edgar Roberson ! was the little sister of the bride, that enjoyed her milk during the ! entire evening. Grandmother and '• Grandfather Rye were old in : years but not in ideas. Mr. Frank ■ Haislip and Mr. Jot Cherry were i a oharming pair. Sr., as minister pronounced then i man and wife after many objec tions of the jilted sweetheart. Tin lively bride, Mr. Paul Hyman, ani the handsome groom, Dick Harc'i ; son were finally united in comica wedlock. Bill Thomas, the litth ring bearer, was there with a riri; large enough to go around tb bride. Jhe little flower girls, Kennetl Lewis, Ray Thomas, Paul Steven son and Fred Holiday very graci ously threw collard leaves alon the bride's path. (The same program is to be pro sented at the Williamston Hig School on Thursday, March 17 an in Oak City, Wednesday, Marc 16th.) Several people from adjoinin towns were contacted in regard t ^ taking part in this wedding. Mis Nancy Worsley of Oak City grac ously consented to act as our p anist. She made a very handsom young gentleman in her dark sui straw hat, and bow tie. After a most enjoyable pci formance candy, nuts, and drink were sold in the hull.
