conducted by Dr. J Glenn Black
burn, pastor of the First Baptist
Church of Wake Forest.
The bride was given in mar
raige by her son, William Watts.
She wore an original gown of pur
ple crepe embroidered with cut
steel buttons and sequins. Her
flowers were a spray of double
white orchids with deep purple
centers.
Mrs. Watts was attended by her
daughter, Mrs. Luke Thomason of
Charlotte.
Mr. Walker was attended by
Dr. Douglas W. Paschal, Jr.
When the couple left for a wed
ding trip, the bride wore an en
semble of navy blue with a jacket
lined with navy lapin. With the
orchid corsage from her bridal
bouquet.

The club had as guest speaker
Mrs. Grady Carriker of Colerain,
president of the Fifteenth district,
who gave a good discussion on the
rating sheet, emphasizing the es
sential points. She also made fav
orable comments on the plans of
the different departments for the
coming year.
A social hour followed.
LOCAL CYCLISTS HONORED
The Williamston members of
the Coastal Plain Motorcycle Club
were entertained Monday night
in the fyome of Mr. Edvlin Hub
bard in Roanoke Rapids.

bia. and six foreign countries and
territories outside continental
United States, including C lina,
Cuba, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Puerto
Rico, and Palestine.
Among the record-breaking stu
dent body are the following stu
dents from Martin County: Norma
