a miscellaneous shower at the
Macedonia Club House, compli

Peele. bride-elect.
Upon the honoree's arrival, the
hostesses presented her with a
corsage of white carnations.
A color scheme of green and
white was carried out in the dec
oration of the" club and the floral
arrangement. The white covered
table from which refreshments
were served held a centerpiece of
white dahlias centered with a
miniature bride and groom. The
guests received pink and white
baskets containing mints as fav
ors.
After Miss Peele opened her
gifts bingo was played.
Refreshments of ice cream, bri
dal cakes and punch were served
to over a hundred guests.

The Jamesville Parent-Teacher
Association will sponsor a Hal
loween carnival in the school
gymnasium there on Friday of
this week.
The organization will serve a
special dinner in the school cafe
teria. beginning at 5:110 o’clock,
and sandwiches and soft drinks
will be offered for sale during
the show.
A unique entertainment pro
gram, including bingo, wishing
well, fortune telling, guessing
games, cake walk, popularity and
tackev contests, and surprises.
Valuable prizes including tur
keys, hams and cakes and other
items' will be awarded.

Troop 27
Mi. Matthews started our Scout
meeting Tuesday by telling the
boys about the training piogram
fit Camp Charles. The boys who
went to Camp Charles were Joe
Clayton. Wayne Pate. James Pitt -
| man and Tommy Cooke. Our
Scoutmaster, Mr. Matthews, took
them down and brought them
back. All the boys had a very good
j time and enjoyed the trip thorugh
| l.v.
Mi. Matthews told us that we
| were going to get some paint and
I paint the Scout Hall,
i It was announced that we would
i have a meeting of the Patrol lead
ers at Mi. Matthew's’ house on
Wednesday afternoon. This will
. be called the Green Bar Patrol. At
this meeting a program will be
(planned for the Scouts. The Patrol
I leaders planning to attend are
| Joe Clayton, Wayne Pate, Tom
my Cooke and Dickie Clayton.

will also attend.
Mr. Matthews informed us that
some of the boys had decided to
quit the Scouts.
Mr. Matthews told us that we
would be in another parade on
November 10. This parade is go
ing to be sponsored by the Legion
naires. The Scouts of two other
counties will participate. These are
Beaufort and Tyre]] He told us
that we are to wear our uniforms
to the next meeting.
