Yield In County Slightly Better Than a Year Ago (Continued frorr page one) pound today. Oil peanuts are bought on a meat content basis, ft meaning that a farmer who mar kets 100 pounds of peanuts in the shell and the peanuts grade TO percent meat, will receive slight ly above ten cents a pound for the peanut content. The buyer will pay the difference between the j Oil price and the market price to the Commodity Credit Corpora tion. The Commodity Credit, in turn, will pa> that difference to the grower, less handling costs ft is impossible to say how much the farmer will receive for his ex cess peanuts, but it is definite that he'll be allowed to market excess up to 1047 quotas without penalty, that he'll receive at the time of sale the price paid for oil stock for his excess, and that he'll receive something from the Com modity Credit Corporation which should bring the price for all his peanuts up to a point not too far from the regular market price. It is not known how long it will take the Commod’ty Credit Cor poration payments to clejr, pos sibly no longer than a few weeks or maybe it will be months It is fairly certain that the peanut far mer with fair yields will find a: favorable market this season. -o Series Of Wrecks On County Roads In Past Few Days (Continued from Page One) R P.
