Trapped In Washing Machine For Honrs B'.d Axe, Mich.—Neighbors found Mrs. Bella Dundas, 82-year old widow, standing in a foot of water in her basement, her arms caught in the rollers of her wash ing machine, where she had been for 24 hours. She said she had slipped while doing her washing and had become caught in the ma chine, which hail continued to operate during the 24 hours she was trapped. Mrs. Dundas, who lives alone, was taken to a hos pital in a serious condition, both arms being badly mangled. Deaths in this country were at record low rate last year.
