the double ring ceremony.
I The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter L. Brown of
Jamesville and the bridegroom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Duff Mc
Caffity of Edward.
A program of wedding music
was presented by Mrs. Effie Hol
liday. pianist, of Jamesville, and
Miss Dorothy McCallum, soloist,
of Roland.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, Walter L. Brown, wore
a gown of nylon tulle over bridal
satin. It was fashioned with a
taut bodice with a hand made
flower of sell material embroid
ered on the pleated nylon tulle
criss-cross, collar, with long satin
| sleeves ending in points over the
| hands The skirt fanned out into
1 a cathedral train. Her two tier
veil of French illusion was at
tached to orange blossoms and
seed pearls. She carried a bou
quet of white orchids and sprays
of white flowers on a white Bible.
Attending the bride as maid of
honor was hel sinter, Miss Saudi
Brown of Jamesville with Mrs.
Walter L. Brown. Jr., of James
ville, sister-in-law of the bride,
as matron of honor. The honor
attendants wore nymph green
gowns of nylon net and lace fash
ioned with a strapless bodice and
a brief lace jacket. They wore
matching mitts and headpieces
and carried nosegays of red roses
The bridesmaids were Mrs
Shade Wood of Columbia, S. C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. S. P. McDaniel of Wood
land and Mr. Griffin is the son of
the late Mr. and Mrs William E.
Griffin of Williamston.
The couple entered together.
The bride's suit, an original model

Immediately after the cere
mony, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin left
for a trip in the southern states.
Mrs. Griffin was graduated
from East Carolina College and
for several years has taught in
the Williamston public schools.
Mr. Griffin was graduated from
the University of North Carolina
with a BS degree in commerce.
After the weding trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Griffin will be at home in
Williamston where Mr. Griffin is
engaged in business.
