CLUB GIVES AUGUST PANCE Without a doubt one of the most brilliant social events given' in east ern North ' Carolina this season was the August dance held in the hall of the Edgecombe Club last night. From ten o'clock until the wee sma hours there was absolutely notic ing to mar the jubilant pleasure of the big crowd of dancers present. Therejiad. been an exceptionally large number of Invitations sent out as is the custom of the clubhand guests from far and near participat ed, Wilmington, Raleigh, Greensboro, as well 'a all the nearby towns, be ing well represented.
