held in the Tawn of Whitakers, at
the regular polling place (the May.
ora office), on the 16th day of Oc
tober,! 1920, to determine the ques
tion'of the issuance of bonds by the
Board of Trustees of said Whitakers
Special School Tax District, to the
aggregate maximum principal amount
oi Seventy-five thousand dollars
($75,000.00) for the purpose of pro
viding funds for erecting, furnishing,
and equipping necessary and conven

A queer case of mistaken location
was shown yesterday by a white- man
in town, under the influence of li
quor,' going into a residence, far re
moved from his home," and going to
Bed, which caused the owner to call
the police to rout him out. Not feel
ing well enough for trial the mayor
placed him under a fifty dollar bond
for , appearance at next ' Monday's
court .".
There has been a ' change in the
police force. Hereafter the mayor
will have a man come on at 1 o'clock
in the day and until midnight, in or
der to detect speeders..
