There will be a free picture shown
at the Pinetops Theatre, Thursday
night, and after the picture there
will be a few short talks on the ne
cessity of women registering and vot
ing. " It is expected that there will
be a large crowd to attend, as there
is being much interest displayed in
t!he women voting' in number ten.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Campbell, of
Hart Mills, returned from their hon
eymoon this morning. The marriage
took place on Sunday and the bride
was Miss Callie May Hunning.
Many local people will motor to
Bethel on Friday to hear the future
governor, Mr. Cameron' Morrison,
speak. This will be. the only oppor
tunity the people of this section will
have to hear this popular candidate.

go about the city gathering up the
newspapers of the previous day's is
sue, redistributing them among the

then further distributed by being
sent out to the villages and country
sections, where they are sold at a
fraction of theiy original price..

Pinetops is awake to the necessity
of getting out a record vote and the
leaders have bought out the picture
show for 1hursday: night, when Capt. I
Paul Jones speaks there, -and. a free
show will be given In conjunction
with the political address.
The services at Jones Chapel which
had been noted in this paper to take
place this week will not start until
Sunday afternoon at 3.30.. There
will be no Sunday night service, but
Rev. Earnhardt will continue them
each night at eight o'clock through
out the week.

Quite a number of local "men are
motoring to Raleigh today to attend
the State Fair, among whom are
Messrs. Henry Keelin, Stamps How-
ard, Mifford Haynes, J. E. Simmons,
George Pennington, Percy Lewis and
Dr. Don Williams. -
The Coastal Plain Fair wijl com
pare very favorably with any other
fair in the state. The management
has secured twenty big shows for the
midway and the free acts by the Da
morest family are second to none.
These people were in the Hippodrome
for three years and for many years
were with the Ringling circus. In the
horse act will be seen a horse that
holds the world record for the high
jump seven feet six inches. The
best band on fair) circuit has been
secured to give free concerts, tjie
keystone band. - "
