Ci, to Issue $25,000.00 of Bonds For an Electric Light and Power System. , v Notice is hereby given that a spe- cial election will be held In the Town of Pinetops on Tuesday, the 23rd day of November, '1920, at the regular polling place, under the power and authority granted in the Municipal Finance Act of the General Assembly of North Carolina, to determine whe ther or not' the Town of Pinetops shall issue bonds in an aggregate maximum principal amount of $25, 000.00 for the establishment of an electric light and power- system in the Town of Pinetops. The Board of Commissioners have duly passed a bond ordinance for this purpose, to be effective only upon approval by the voters of said Town of Pinetops, said ordinance being as follows; "The Board of . Commissioners of this Town of Pinetops realizing the necessity of providing electric light; ing and power facilities -within the Town of Pinetops, by either erecting and operating an electric plant with in said Town, or by purchasing such electric, light and power under con tract with "the Town of Tarboro, or other municipal or private corpora UOn,,do this the 18th day of October, 1920, at a meeting specially called and advertised for .this purpose, do hereby ordain and enact: (a) That bonds of the said Tpwp of Pinetops be issued and said, to provide funds to buy, build and erect a transmission line from Pinetops, N. C. . to ' Tarboro, N. C.; or other point,, to enable said Town of Pine tops to buy and transmit such neces sary electricity for lighting and pow er purposes as it may deem necessary from sadd Town of Tarboro, or other corporation; and to build the neces sary lines and stations to distribute such electricity within the said Town of Pinetops, said bonds to be issued and sold under and pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal r Finance Act. (b) That the maximum aggregate principal amouut of said bonds shall not exceed the sum of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars. .
