One day the striker ill strike, and another day it ems. doubtful, and so the ,ne goes between labor and THE GOLD DUST TWINS. Thoi-e is no doubt but what cotton is our largest and most important cropland when we figure up our exports, the stat istics show cotton makes up about 25 per cent of them. Knowing- the great import ance of this fleecy crop, and the great number of people who are dependent upon it in one way or another for a living it is strange how its prices are played with like a ball. The Federal Reserve Board at one stroke drove it down below the cost of production, and now the War Finance Cor poration claims it has put up the prices, and there it is. ,In the Federal Reserve Board and the War Finance Corporation truly as a writer says, we have what is visual ly known as the Gold Dust Twins. One claims to put up the price "of cotton and the oth er cuts it down, thereby allow ing a clique of speculators to gather up the creatn of the re- ent increase in prices. The Dearborn Independent rightly says: To the man who stops to think a moment, it is evident that price manipulations of fhis .ort do not add a penny of real wealth to the South. And the cotton grower and every other producer in the land is beginning to ask why those government-created and privi- 2ged "Gold Dust Twins," the Federal Reserve Board and the War Finance Corporation, play tnwn nf Princeville that a new reg i-s-i-ati m will be had in said town on cent per annum from the 21st day I ... the 24th day of Nov, 1921, and that of May, 1921 until paid, an ele tion will be held on the 28th And the said defendant will fur day of Nov. 1921. j ther take notice that he is required O.
