Mann has received sixty thoroughbred Rhode Island chickens that he will distribute to the mem bers if the Girls' Poultry Club of Edgecombe county. He will in a few days receive another shipment, and when the last arrive, The Southerner will give a full list of the memhers of this club and the number of chick ens assigned to them. These chickens are given to these girls with the understanding that from the offspring a sufficient num ber are to be sold and from these proceeds the girls are then to pay the first price of the chickens they now receive. Director. TARBORO MILK PLANT HAS A NATIONAL REPUTATION In the June issue of the American City Magazine will be a photograph and a full-page article of the Tar boro milk plant. The article will be prepared by the associate editor of this magazine. This information was received to day from Mr. J. H. Jacocks, who re cently, received a letter from the edi tor of the American Ctty Magazine. Tarboro's milk plant has made for itself n national reputation and is at tracting attention from everywhere. It will be remembered that a year or so ago the Ladies' Home Journal carried a long write-up of this plant and letters have been received from many distant states asking for in formation as to the operation of the Tarboro milk plant. Mr. Jacocks has made arrange ments with Hightowcr & Howell to have pictures made for use in this magazine.
