Mr. Roy Meadors has been appoint -ed local Grader for the Cooperative marketing system at Tarboro. Mr. Meadors is well known to the people of the County as a first class tobacco man and as a tobacco expert there i3 none better. The Southerner wishes Mr. Meadors great success upon this appiontment. W. E. Douglas formerly a manager for the Tarboro McCrory Store, but who left here for his former home in Wash. D. C. to open a store for himself has done such a prosperous business that he has recently opened another store in Wash. Corner of Georgia Ave. and Kennedy Sts. which is known as the W. R. Douglas Variety Store. This does not sound like hard times in the District of Columbia. Mr. Douglas and wife many warm friends in Tarboro who regretted their leaving and will re joice to know of their prosperity. One store is usually sufficient for a young man to handle but to succes fully own and manage two we think worthy of mention.
