This suit grew out of the death of Miss Taylor, a young lady of Gates county, more than a year ago, which as caused by a Norfolk Southern Railway train. She had been to Suf folk to. make purchases to prepare for her wedding on her return home. She left the train at Chesapeake and started for her home In a buggy. The train ran over her at the crossing killing her outright. The railroad company claimed that death was due to her own negligence.
