CONTINUING THROUGH SEPT. 4TH — FIVE NIGHTS EACH WEEK The 352nd Anniversary of the birth of English civilization in America will be fit tingly celebrated at the Nation’s Birthplace —at Old Fort Raleigh on Roanoke Island— the actual site where members of “THE LOST COLONY” built their homes and lived until their tragic and mysterious dis appearance; where Virginia Dare was born and where the friendly Indian Chief, Manteo, was baptized. PRESENTED EVERY WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, AND ALL HOLIDAYS NIGHTS—8:15 O’CLOCK OLD FORT RALEIGH Religious services will be held at Old Fort Raleigh each Sunday at 11 A. M., con ducted by outstanding leaders in different denominations. “THE LOST COLONY” Choir (Westminster School singers), will render appropriate musical numbers at each )f the services. One cannot see Lost Colony without ex periencing a great inspiration and apprecia tion of the fact that he is an American. Its entire theme carries a spirit of religion and patriotism. ROANOKE ISLAND BIGGER AND BETTER PLAY—LARGER CAST ENLARGED THEAmS^ IMPROVED MUSIC LARGER CHOIR ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE HAVE THRILLED TO SEE IT, NOW IN ITS THIRD SEASON—DO NOT FAIL TO SEE IT THIS YEAR—INSTRUCTIVE, HELPFUL, INSPIRING -JO WE WANT YOU TO KNOW ALL DARE COUNTY When you visit Lost Colony you will then understand better why you should stay and learn the entire Dare County area. The great Cape Hatteras National Seashore region, with its lighthouses. Coast Guard Stations, and its interesting stories of ship wreck and adventure, and its helpful and hospitable people, is bringing thousands to the county each year. It is famous for its good fishing and hunting; and good hotels, boarding houses and stores serve natives and visitors well. The Beaches of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hill and Kitty Hawk, with many new hotels assure the visitor ample comforts and excellent food. Here will be found fishing and hunting, and here may be seen the birthplace of Aviation, and many interesting things. On the mainland will be found most excellent inland fishing. Here too are many of the section’s greatest commercial fish eries. In winter, the bear and deer hunting rivals the splendid fishing in summer. At all these places will be found good guides, for either hunters or fisherman, and splendid accommodations.
