Here it is! The first edition of
THE HIGHLANDER, Highlands’

be more than this one edition will
be decided by the amount of sup
port you advertisers give to the
paper; and the number of readers
who will subscribe for it. Sub
scription price for the thirty-six
issues in the year is: $1:00 for
those living in Highlands; $1.50
for those whose home is outside
of the city most of the year.
We believe in Highlands. We
believe in our local merchants. We
believe in all our advertisers. Our
policy is to serve the community
in every way we can; and to the
best of our ability. We decline
any opportunity to take sides, be
lieving that the HIGHLANDER
is an organ for dispensing news
and advertising for all, regardless
of creed or beliefs.
It is the aim of this paper to
give unstintingly to the best in
terests of the community and city.

The Office of the Chamber of
Commerce is located in the lobby
of the Jackson County Bank build
ing. Any information visitors may
desire concerning Highlands and
the surrounding country, will be
gladly given by the person in
charge. The Chamber of Com
merce will provide drivers for a
limited number of people desiring
to see some of the beautiful drives
around Highlands. The cost is
nominal.
