HIGHLAND-er-er It will be gratifying to the many friends of Barbara Zoellner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zo ellner, that site is able to walk bet ter than ever before, following the operation which she had on her leg, June 11th. Barbara has been suffering from infantile paralysis for several years, and has under gone many operations, all of which has greatly aided in the recovery of the use of her legs. The opera tion in June was performed in the Shriner’s Hospital in Greenville, S. C.; the work having been done by Dr. /White, who is a specialist along those lines. Barbara has always been an honor student in the grades at Highlands School, where she is still in attendance. At the Edwards Farm in Horse Cove, Mrs. J. H. Tourlelot, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. J. L. Wright, of Anderson, S C.; Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Goldworthy, of of 'West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Miami, Fla.; Mrs. P. R. E Halton, Mr. and Mrs. J. Belcher Cole, of Hollywood, Fla.; are all spending a delightful vacation period. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bolton and family, of Commerce, Ga., are stopping at Smithhaven for a short time. Mrs. S. J. Lee, who have been stopping at the Haill House, for the past two months, returned to their home in Miami, Fla., last Monday morning. When asked, Mr. Lee said, “I like the country about Highlands very much, and hope to return in the near future/’ Dr. and Mrs. B. C. Turner and daughter, from Palm Beach, Fla., are stopping at the Hotel Ed tel Edwards for a brief period. Also at the Edwards Hotel are, among others, Arthur K. Wood man, of Palm Beach, Fla., and Norman L. Jones, of West Palm Beach, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. E._ H. Long, of St. Petersburg, Fla., are located in the Nantahala Forest for a brief stay in this mountain country. Mrs. Grace Black, a representa tive for the Walk Easy Shoes of St. Louis, Mo., is stopping at the Potts House for a time. Those who are stopping a Pueb lo Moita for a vacation period are Mm W. W. Mitchell, of East Point, Ga.; as well as7 Mrs. G. T. Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. W. 0 Mc Kenzie, Joan Gunnell, all of East Point, Ga.; and Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Manning and son Phillip, of Hartsville, S. C.
