changed my attitude so
completely? Was it tftue sub
conscious awareness theut I
was not living up to my
beat self (my God-seif?)
Thalt I was being ungrate
ful? nils was the beginning
of the change.
The next step — appre
ciation — was inspired by
the graceful flight, across
my viston, of one of God’s
wonderful creatures — the
sea gull. And the third
step was action: going out
to enjoy the morning, re
gardless of weather, with
an Increasing sense of gra
titude.
I had started the day by
feeling sorry far myself (a
form of being selfish) be
cause I couldn’t travel. And
'then — within a few short
hours — J had gained the
realization that I had trav
eled; that I had taken the
greatest journey of all: the
one that leads to a higher
state of consciousness—onto
The King’s Highway. “El
Camino Real,” it was called
by .the early California
Padres. But in my language,
In a higher sense, It is God’s
Way. And ft fs open to all
of His children.
