Davis celebrated their Golden Wedding Wednesday Nat their home on North Martin street with a delightful fam ily dinner. Beautiful decorations white and gold were used and a aumpt.uous repast was enjoyed along with delightful reminiscences. Mrs. Davis was Miss Mary Eliza McKlmmey before her marriage to Mr. Davis on December 21, 1871. Their children, W. P. Davis, of New Bern; Mrs. E. M. Forbes, of Nor folk; W. Kennedy Davis, V. Brandon Davis and Oscar Davis, of this city, with their faniilies were the dinner guests; also Mrs. Davis' sisters, Mrs. L. Pritchard, of Norfolk, and Mrs. 0. Seymore, of this city.
