The bigger dailies have a page of edi torial and sometimes consider able fiction, to say nothing of the space that they give to comic strips and such. These are matters in which The Ad vance cannot compete and makes no effort to compete with the big newspaper. Among the small town news papers, however, we believe that The Advance gives its readers even as much reading matter to the page as does any daily in its class that is on a paying basis.
