Cotton-The market, since the d partur of the Baltic on Wednesday last, has been dulL with a -tendency down ward; this has been more especially observable the past three days, and we now reduce our quotations fully J of a cent per lb. prices still favoring buyers. The sales for tbe week ended Friday last were 14,850 bales, and since our last 4800 we quote : 9 to T l'lour8outhern has been in good demand for tke Weat.Iudles and for home use at previous pri ces, the market closing very firmly, with but little to behad at $4,75; the sales are 8200 bbls. at $4,75 a 84,874 for common to good brands Alex andria, Baltimore and Georgetown: 1000 do. Fredericksburg, on private terms ; and $5 a $5,50 for fancy brands. Rye Flour has been dull, with small sales at $3,87,. Corn as been offered more freely, and as the Canal Is now navigable and receipts will soon come forward, the market has been depres ed, and closes heavily at a considerable reduction in prices; the sales are 78,000 bushels, closing at 67t68cents for round Yellow, 671 a 68 cents for Southern White, which continues very scarce and wanted. j Naval Stores Are without attV material chanee. except that the market is better supplied by iufl arrival of a fleet of vessels from North Carolina The sales are 1000 bbls.
