AT the last meeting of the President trnd Direct ors of this Co., the following order was pass ed to wit : ''Ordered, that the Treasurer procerd forthwith to collect the remaining Installments due from subscribers to the Capital Stock of this 'Co., under the amended Charter. The above order is passed in consideration of the fact, that it is Confidently expected that nearly the entire work on the Cape Fear River will be finished in the course of the next two months and will involve a corresponding ootlay of money lo meet fhe demands of the Contractors. There is now a large force engaged and a very con- siderable portion of their work, will it is believed be completed within this month when the reserved 20 per cent will also be due. It is hoped therefore inaiatt subscribers will at once see the necessity of this order and will be prepared to pay promotly.
