On Wednesday afternoon last, a lad ajed about fourteen -years, while passing along Smith street Cincinnati, near its in tersection with the Whitewater Canal, was suddenly attacked by a vicious horse which was tied to a post at the curb-stone, and which seizing the boy with his teeth, near the small of the back, and lifting him clear of the ground, shook him as a puppv would a rag. This he repeated several lime before the boy could be shielded from hip furious attacks, which was at length done by some gentlemen who were pass ing. What somewhat remarkable, the owner of ihe animal declares that he has been in his possession for more than three years, and has heretofore evinced a remark ably quiet and tractable disposition. The boy was considerably more frightened tbaa t)art.
