ARTIFICIAL FISH UttEEDING. fhe first practical attempt on an ex tensive scale in the United States to propagate 6sh by artificial wans has just been commencetl in Comitfcticut. The Ha.iford Times says: The spot selected for the trial is Sal tonstall Lake, a beauliful sheet of wa ter, lying chiefly in the town of East Haven, and only a few miles from the oaud. The lake is some four miles long and nearly a mile wide."
