Court will convene in this town on Monday, November 2nd. It hi a little late this year, and as the weath er has been very favorable for har vesting crops, most of them are in and marketed. Our people have not had so much supplies to buy the past year, ami as everything the farmer has to sell has been and is yet, selling at unheard of high prices, our farmers should be, notwithstanding the fact that cotton is h little short in some sections, in u prosperous condition and fully able to pay their accounts, and have some thing to lay up besides. As we are not a producer, having to live directly from the markets and pay the high prices prevailing, while the price of our work has remained the same, it has been an unusually hard year with us. Now. as we have not been or sent a collector through the country this year, we have more unpaid accounts on our books than ever before. We belcive they are all against good, honest men ; we would not have sent the paper had we thought otherwise. You are now in a position to pay these accounts, and we are not able to wait lunger on you, neither have wo the time to go and see you per sonally, nor should it be necessary. You know you have been receiving the paper promptly and that unless you have paid for it you are indebted to us for it. Now, please cto not wait for us to dun you, but send it in at once with the money for another year, if possi ble. If you cannot get it to us be fore, send it court week. Either you or some of your neighbors will be coming then, but the mails are perfectly safe. We thank you for the patronage given us during the past yuur. The paper is now one of the best estab lished enterprises in the county, but there is great room for improvement, aud with a little more help and prompt payments on your part, this could easily be made. Take the paper yourself, pay for it promptly, induce your neighbors to take it, if in business advertise in it, and you will be surprised to see how soon and . how ..much it would be improved. Make this oflieo your headquarters court week. . You will ii ml hook for your overcoat, u good lire to warm by, a safo and convenient place to leave bundles or meet your friends, and ii cordial welcome will greet you. Just come right in and make your self at home. JURY LIST. Many Mothers of a Likej Opinion. No one who is acquainted with its good qualities can be surprised at the great popularity of Chamber lain's Cough Pemedy. It not only cures colds and grip effectually and permanently, but prevents these dis eases from resulting in pneumonia. It is also a cei tain cure for croup. Whooping cough is not dangetous when this remedy is given. It con tains no opium or other harmful sub stance and may be given asconlident ly to a baby as to an adult. It is also pleasant to take. When all of these facts are taken into con;ider Htion it is not surprising that people in foreign lands, as well as at home, esteem this remedy very highly and very few are willing to take any other nfter having once used it For sale ly Spruill & Pro.
