WILL- COX, Manager for North Carolina, The .Mutual Life Insurance Co., of An Associated Pressi dispatch from Paris dated April 'J, says : Ex-Queen Isabella of Spain, grand mother of King Alfonso, died here at 9:45 o'clock this morning, of in fluenza with complications. The American embassy, which is opposite the palace castle on the Avenue Kleber, the late Queen's residence, was early informed of the queen's death and Ambassador Port er was among the first to call and sign the palace register. The Infantas Isabella, Eulalie and Marie, daughters of the lato queen, were at the bedside when she died. The queen had been afflicted with the grip for two months, which gradually allected the lungs. Last night she became unconscious, and the death agony began at 7 o'clock this morning. The three infantas and- Prince Ferdinand of Bavaria, husband of the Infanta Marie, were suntmonea to the bedside, but the dying queen did not recogniz them. M. Delcase called during the day and was admitted to the 'death : ehamoer, and President Lou bet sent an officer of his household to present his ceudolenoes. It is understood that King Alfonso will not come to France for the fu neral, as he did not come for the funeral of his grundiithsr, King Francis, who died in April, l',)02. The deceased queen had been one of the conspicuous figures of Paris since she left Spain. After her ab- diealion, in JST0, she continued to live with queenly inagniticence here, giving largely to charitable institutions. X. Y., Charlotte, X. C. mar 7 .." WILIiIiHSTON'S H A I R --TDK LG ..
