appointment to the position of
Brigade Commander of the First
North Carolina Brigade, (See
eommissionprinled elsewhere in
this issue), a called meeting of
said Camp was held on Wednes
day evening of last week for the
purpose of electing a Commander
caused by the promotion of Com
rade Latham, and for such other
business as migh t properly come
before it.
On motion W. R. Hampton,
1st. Lieut. Commandant, was
elected Commandant and ail
officers in line of promotion were
advanced from Adjutant up. The
officers of Plymouth Camp now

or nearest male ancestor wTas a
member of the Confederate Ar
my or Navy at its close, or was
honorably discharged from the
same prior thereto, with an en
trance fee of only $2.00.
An urgent invitation is extend
ed from the Camp to all who are
thus qualified to join it. And it
is our earnest wish that every
one so qualified living in this Co.
send in their names at once, as
we wish to soon make this the
banner Camp of the State.
