C and Hezekiah Sitterson of Wilson are spending their vacation with "their parents near here. v l.lisses Gladys, Martha and Florence Hornhal of Plymouth and Miss Florence Bell of Snffolk, Va., were guests of Mrs. Ida Blount several days last week. L Mrs. Ellie Tomlinson of Buel, Va. and Miss Louise Avers of Plymouth spent Thursday and Friday with Mrs. J. J. Hassell. i D. T. Singleton and wife of Norfolk and Mrs. Singleton's father, Mr. T. M. Walker of E. City have returned home after a plesant visit to Mr. J. E. Single ton at Cedar Grove Farm. Miss Lula Cahoon is spending sometime with friends in Ports mouth and Balimore. Misses Carrie Lee and Wilma Clark returned Monday from a delightful visit to friends, in Edenton. ; Misses Ursula Singleton and Ida Peacock leave Friday to join a house party given by M r. and Mrs- Warren Singleton at Poco moke City, Md., after which they will visit Atlantic City, Niagara Falls and several points in Canada before returning. Miss Lillie Freerrai of Wash ington, is the guest of the Miss es Spruill. Mr. H. W. Tarkenton and daughter of Royal, Nr C. are visiting friends and relatives in this section. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. R. Spruill of Washington are the guests of his parents. J. T. Ange is erecting a large . dwelling on his farm on Wood lawn road near Roper, Mr. T. R. Chesson being architect in charge of same. Miss Lillie Brewer is spending sometime in Norfolk with her uncle. Miss Corinne Bell spent seveta days here this week the guest of Mrs Sue Blount and is now vis iting friends in Belhaven. Mr L. G Roper; left Tuesday to impend his vacation with rela tives and friends in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Mrs. T. Raymond Hassell and little daughter, Virginia, left Thursday to spend sometime at Panacea Springs. Misses Annie and Ruth Know les of Pinner's Point, are visit ing relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. A. C.-Wentz are visiting relatives at Pantego and Belhaven. Miss Agnes G. Speignt left Sat urday for Hertford to attend the funeral of Miss Winslow who was drowned at Nags Head last week.
