Pursuant to a Resolution adopted by the Conr i of Aldermen of the Town of Columbia, State of North Carolina, at a special meeting of .said Board held for that purpose on the day of No vember, iyi7, it was resolved by the said Beard that they would receive bids at their regular monthly meeting to ba held on the first Monday night in January, 1018, for the purpose of establishing an electric lighting system in said town, which said Resolution can be seen on inspection of the Min ute Jteok of said town. A general out line of the specifications, fof said light ing system as provided for In the said Resolution is as follows : A good crude oil engine of sufficient capacity to furnish light for the said town and its inhabitants, together with dynamo sufficient to generate current for approximately thirty street lights and approximately eight hundred lights for residences and business purposes with storage batteries sufficient to run said lignts for twenty-four houis without- the engine ; switchboard, poles and wire sufficient to carry the cur rent into ali parts of the ; md tovj, toe-other with brackets or am . for an- MR.
