At a mass netting of the people of Plymouth held in the Almo Theatre Wednesday afternoon the town cou.n fit were asked to equip and arrange the electric light plant in such a mao near that it would be possible and ex pendient to furnish electric current during the day as well as night The mayor furnished figures that showed hitautlsy of approximately fifteen thousand dollars, or some less would rewire the town and install an additional unit which would have ample capacity to furnish the town with as much current as would be re quired, His figures al o argued that within two years t*/e plant would pay the additional cost without having to raise the property tax rate. Council Passes Law Requiring Vehic les of all Kinds to Park When Alarm is Sounded. AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE VE HICLES TO COME TO A STAND STILL AT THE SOUND OF THE FIRE ALARM AND TO GOVERN THE PARKING OF VEHICLES DURING FIFES. The Counciiment of the Town o. Plymouth do enact: 1st. That all motor vehicles and vehicles drawn by team or otherwise shall be parked at a complete stand still at the curb of the street immed iately upon the first sound or blast of he fire alarm, or fire whistle of the Town of Plymouth, and shall remaii so parked until the fire truck ha: passed said vehicle, or until said fire truck has arrived at the scene of the fire. 2 d. That^the firemen, fire truck :,nd oti-.er portable fire-fighting ap paratus and equipment of the Tow* ' Plymouth shall have the absolute dght-jf-way and control over and up n the streets of* thee Town of Pfry mou'h immediately upon the sound o' the fire alarm or whistle of said town, nd shall continue in control of said streets until the fire to which same arc called is completely extinguished, ant. any person obstructing the streets o' the said town se as to prevent or in erf ere with the authority conferred upon the fire company in this sectie’ shall be punished as hereinafter pro vided. *-d That ro motor vehicle or ne ’e -n wn by team shall be parke .
