Plymouth May Have Twenty
Four Hour Electric Current
i -
Mass Meeting of Citizens Ask Council
to Equip Plant so as to Give
Continuous Service.
At a mass netting of the people of
Plymouth held in the Almo Theatre
Wednesday afternoon the town cou.n
fit were asked to equip and arrange
the electric light plant in such a mao
near that it would be possible and ex
pendient to furnish electric current
during the day as well as night
The mayor furnished figures that
showed hitautlsy of approximately
fifteen thousand dollars, or some less
would rewire the town and install an
additional unit which would have
ample capacity to furnish the town
with as much current as would be re
quired, His figures al o argued that
within two years t*/e plant would pay
the additional cost without having to
raise the property tax rate.
The council Will meet this afternoon
at twp o'clock to consider this propo.
sition and to a<so listen to arguments
pro and con from citizens of the ♦own
A number of enterprises have insisted,
for some time that something bq^done
that woul make it' possible for them
to use power with which to run their
plants by electricity The persons who
Intended£bfe*tnass meeting were una
nimous in requesting that the rounici.
pal plant install such machinery as,
would be necessary to furnish the cur
rent required,
; The mayor has also requested us to
announce that all persons interested
in this proposition are not only invited
but urged, to attend the meeting and
express themselves as to their senti
ments reguarding this proposed step.,
Next week the Beacon will make
known whatever is done in this regard

I have given careful study to the duties of the
office, and while I do not know it all, I sincei’elv Re
lieve that the knowledge I have jppffied T^.r> 1
service and carful study is a valuable asset to u e
and the people who are to be served.
If nominated and elected I promise to serve
the people of the entire county to the very best of
my ability, and no especial concessions or favors
will be shown none that are not consistent vritb e
duties of the office.
I will appreciate your support in the primaries
if you feel that my service warrants it.
