CONSIDERING $35,000.
000. ROAD BILL.
*•' _
RepresenativeBowie introduced
In the House yesterday a bill to
appropriation *35,000,000 for the
State’s road-building program.
At the same time Senator Heath
Introduced the same bill in the
Senate.
The bill is in accordance with
the general road plan as originally
worked out and is necessary to
fill in the missing links in a num
ber of the leading roads of the
State, as well as a number of
new projects.
The bill also raises the gaso
line tax from 3 to 4 cents per
gallon.
The prediction is generally
made that the bill will go through
without much fight, since people
form all sections of the State
seem to approve the program.
