Mr. J. W. Bryan has hung out a new sign in front of his store. It is the work of Mr. Lonnie Scarboro. Sherift Blount is erecting a neat cot tage between Capt. Martin’s and Mr. J.O. The expenses of this county as is shown by orders allowed by the board of county c .mmissioners for the fiscal year beginning December 1, 1890, and ending November 30, 1891 was $3,1919. 04 against $3,014.83 allowed by the old board for the fiscal year beginning Dec. 1, 1889, and ending November 30 1890, which shows a decrease in the county eexpensesof $424.79, and had the commissioners not paid haavy law yers’ fees in the election case the ex penses would have been cut down $800 00 This is a good showing for the present board of commissioners.(H. J. Starr, W. C. Marriner, B D. Latham, Joseph Skittletharpe and H. A. Litch field composed the board at that time —Editor) The goverment of Plymouth at that time was: J. W- Bryan, mayor; G H. Card of Thanks I wish to take this method of expressing my most sincere thanks to the kind people of this community for the valu able aid and expressions of sympathy extended to me during the illness and death of my wife who departed this life January 27th, 1925. Especially do I wish to voice my appreciation to the Ladies’ Federation for the many visits that meant so much to us in our hour of grief. Gratefully, George W.
