To futher improve the appear ance of Water street all telephone lines have been removed and erected on poles placed on the river shor just in rear of tb stores on the north side of the stre t. As soon as the current is ready to turned on the white wav all telephone lines will be remov ed from this street. This plan is a decided improve ment as all the unsightly poies and wires will be removed from public view Many Lots Improved. Many of our property owners have taken advantage of the re moval of dirt from the streets oreparatory co paving, and have had great quantities of this soil hauled and spread on their pro perty. This adds greatly to the ap pearance of the premises that have been buiided up with the dirt, and will make them much more desirable, especially during aod after rains and snows.
