ROPER —«— Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Forbes and son have returned after spending the sum mer in Shawboro. Mrs. Eloise Ralph, of Norfolk, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Sarah Leary. Bill Lewis and Robert Savage, of Edenton, were visitors Here Monday. Mrs. Ben Brickhouse and daughter, were the guests of Mrs. Joe Nowarah Sunday. Olan Allen is visiting friends and relatives in Elizabeth City. Roger Chesson and Grace Windley left Friday for Norfolk, where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brown. Henry Williams, of Norfolk, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Williams. Messrs. Marie and Ruth Spruill have returned home after spending a few days in Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Bray, Mrs. A. R. Phelps, Mrs. W. Marrow, and Mrs. J. Oliver spent Tuesday in Norfolk shopping. Dora Tarkington has returned home after spending a few days in William ston with her sister, Pearl Tarking ton. ROPER -3> Miss Lyndell Lewis is spending some time in Baltimore. Miss Edna Knowles, Freddie Heller and Miss Mildred Lewis and George Leary, of Baltimore, were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Knowles. Miss Ida Ruth Knowles spent last week at Camp Leach on the Pamlico. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Stillman were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Knowles. Miss Mary Knowles and Miss Doris Chapman have returned to their home in Baltimore. Grady Chesson is in Duke hospital for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. L. J.
