Preceding the business session a dinner was served by the following hostesses: Mrs. Leroy Bateman, Mrs. Herman Bowen. Miss Selma Braxton and Miss Emma Coley. Miss Charlotte McNair presided over the meeting and recognized the following new members: Misses Ruth Kiker, Elizabeth Campbell. Molly Ed gerton, Emma Coley. Naomi Weede. Mesdames Edley Hutchins and Ran kin Ambrose. Delegates to the district meeting made reports. It was announced the club would entertain the Williamston Junior Woman's Club next Tuesday evening. October 18. The topic for study was “Art.” Mrs. Wenona White, program chair man. introduced Mrs. W. M. Darden and Mrs. Fred Innis, who made talks about famous pictures. Miss Nell Frances Beasley present ed two recent brides, Mrs. C. O. Arm strong and Mrs. Leroy Bateman, with silver vases, gifts from the club. Mrs. M. J. Polk Honors Visitors Mrs. M. J. Polk entertained at a luncheon bridge at her home on Tues day honoring Mrs. Greenleaf and Miss Margaret Greenleaf. guests of Mrs. T. W. Earle. Bridge was played at three tables. At the conclusion of the progressions Mrs. S. M. Rasmuson was awarded a pickle dish as high score prize. Mrs. T. W. Earle retained the traveling prize, perfume.
