One Party From Western
Part of State Gets Seven
Bears in 3 Days
Bear and deer hunters from a
number of states have been in Wash
ington County during the past few
weeks, with most of the parties re
porting a fair measure of success.
Two bears were killed by a party
from the western part of the State
Tuesday, while others have been

here Friday about noon they had a
total of seven bears, several of which
were extremely large. Others have

of the State here last week includ
ed: J. E. Anders. J. E. Parris. Bov
Owens, Ausbon Fore, Dr. Robertson.
Mitch Nash. Tom Cole. Earl and Er
nest Rumbaugh. This party brought
a pack of 30 of the famous Plott bear
dogs, and worked 15 dogs on alternate
days during their stay here.
There was a party here from
Quincy, 111., and another group from
Indianapolis, Ind. H. M. Kieckhefer,
of Delair, N. J., was here recently
with a party from his section.

an excellent vehicle for dramatic and
comedy acting and, according to pre
viouers. she gives a performance that
rings true in every detail.

Joan Valerie and Douglas Fowley.

to Corporal T. B. Brown, of the State
Highway Patrol, expressing apprecia
tion for the kindness and courtesy
extended by local people when the
coach and his football team remained
over here for a day as the result of
an accident to their bus, which
crashed into the rear of a parked
truck loaded with pulpwood on high
way No. 32 a few miles south of here
about three weeks.
The letter reads as follows:
"Just a few lines to let you know
again how much we appreciated your
very wonderful kindness and courtesy
to us while we were in Plymouth re
cently.
"In all of our experiences we have
never had such wonderful treatment
extended us, as you and others ex
tended us while there.
"I hope that at some time we have
an opportunity to repay your favor
in some way."
Joe Coker, student of the bus. who
has been here since the accident,
awaiting a new chassis for the dam
aged vehicle, said today that he and
the football learn had been in 38
states of tIre Union and that the
kindness and courtesy shown him and
others in his party surpassed any he
had ever experienced. adding, "I will
never forget Plymouth."

Young's famous comic strip arrive- in
Blondie Has Servant Trouble. '
To prove that life doesn't have to
be complicated to become slightly
hectic, this startlying array of hilar
it begins simply when Blondie insists
on a maid for the household. If ne
cessary. Dagwood must get a rise to
pay her salary. While this is easily
decided by Blondie. Dagwood's boss.
Mr. Dither is not so easilv convinc
ed.
Accordingly, the Bumsteads are
dispatched to a huge estate by Dithers
for some ulterior motive of his own.
In typical style, they blunder their
way through to success—Dagwood's
raise—but only after raising a domes
tic dither of Bumsteadian propor
tions.

Myrna sets out to horrify Melvyn's
home-town folks while the two are
on their honeymoon. In fact, she
keeps Douglas in a constant dither as
they fall in and out of comical com
plications.

Adapted for the screen by the twin
scenarists, Philip G. and Julius J.
Epstein, whose scripts for the "Four
Daughters" series have made screen
history. "No Time For Comedy" is
comedy from start to finish. Tire
rail.v sophisticated story concerns a
young newspaperman from the sticks
who writes a comedy about Manhat
tan's penthouse set, scores a smash
lut on Broadway and marries the star
of the play. Sophisticated comedies
flow from his facile pen. His wife
stars in each of them, and hit fol

In two- thirds of the accidents in
