Group ol Roper Musicians To Be On Radio Program A group of Roper musicians placed first in competition with several oth er groups in a station audition last Monday at a Washington radio sta tion and was selected to present a regular program every two weeks on that station, beginning next Monday, May 18. The winning group is made up of music students from the class of Ethel Griffiths Hopkins, of Roper, as follows: Mae Jo Walker, pianist: David Johnston, baritone: A1 Hooker, tenor; and Ethel Hopkins, ■violinist. Youth Hurt When Struck By Auto Here Saturday -^ The young son of Charlie Pratt, of "Little Richwood," was painfully but seriously hurt last Saturday af ternoon when he rode his bicycle into the path of a car driven by Clarence Cunningham, also of "Little Rich wood", on Washington Street in front of the post office here. The youngs ter suffered bruises and lacerations, but no bones were broken. Dr. T. L. Bray rendered first aid following the accident, which was termed unavoid able by local officers.
