CHERRY Philip Spruill is in the Columbia hospital for treatment. Wendell Spruill and W. C. Spruill visited Philip Spruill Sunday after noon in Columbia hospital. Edsel Barnes, of Norfolk, was home visiting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. H O. Barnes, for the week-end. Miss Iris Spruill, of Norfolk, is spending a few days with her mother. Mrs. E. F. Spruill. Misses Mildred Woodley and Eliza beth Overton spent the week-end in Plymouth with Mildred's sister, Mrs. Dorothy Chesson. A large crowd attended the fune ral and burial at Mount Hermon Church of little Nita Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Davenport, who died in Columbia hospital last Friday. Mr. and Mrs A. W. Davenport have returned from Washington, D. C., where they have been visiting their children. They were accompanied on the trip by Avdlett Morris and his little daughter. Diane.
