Mrs. A. C. Harris, president, con ducted the Bible study—Beauty for Ashes—from the book of Ruth. She read a letter from Mrs. C. L. Dough tie asking for linens for Baptist hos pital. The society voted to send tow els and bath cloths. Mrs. O. L. Las siter was appointed chairman of this committee. They also voted to send $1 to Mar garet Fund. Mrs. W. L. Davenport was named chairman of comittee to send cards to boys in service. Members were urged to write to all boys they knew in service. Mrs. O. I. Lassiter, program chair man for the month, presented the program topic which was: “Think on These Things: Whatsoever Things are of Good Report.” The following members gave respective discussions: Mrs. A. C. Harris, “Stories of Christ ian Graces”; Mrs. J. M. Phelps, “She Serves Faithful” and“She Stands for the Right”; Miss Mary Ellen Still man, “She Lets Her Light Shine”, “She is Eager to Serve”. Mrs. S. B. Wilson prayed thanking God for the beautiful lives of Bap tist Women in China and Africa. The meeting was concluded with song “More Love to Thee.” The July meting will be held at the home of Mrs. J. M. Phelps. The hostess served frozen fruit salad, cokies, pecans and iced tea.
