Lovely chrysanthemums decorated the table in addition to fruit ar rangements. When scores were added Mrs. C. McGowan had compiled high score for the club and Mrs. J. P. Sutton, guest of Mrs. McGowan, for visitors. Mrs. H. S. Midgett received the bingo award and Mrs. Don Davis scored low. All four were presented prizes. Visitors included Mesdames R. A. Duvall. Zeno Lyon, W. H. Booker, J. P. Sutton, of Chicago, and Mrs. D. T. Read. Mrs. Mary Cahoon Hostess To Two Clubs Thursday Mrs. Mary Cahoon. was hostess to her bridge club and to the Thursday Night Bridge Club on Thursday eve ning. Singleton The TEL Class of the Baptist Church Sunday Scholo met with Mrs. J. E. Singleton Monday night. Mrs. Adolph Stubbs was co-hostess. Mrs. W. V. Hays led the devotional. Mrs. Hays. Mrs. J. M. Johnson and Mrs. Archie Modlin were named on a committee to plan a Christmas pro gram for the Sunday school. The class voted to send Mrs. D. J. Hudson who has moved to Elizabeth City a gift. Prayers were led by Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Modlin. 17 members were present. -$> Seniors Entertained By Grade Mothers Creswell.—Creswell High School seniors were entertained at a Hal loween Party at Earl’s Friday eve ning by their room representatives. Mrs. Ernest Davenport and Mrs. Dora Spruill. As the guests entered, they were served fruit punch by Misses Rita and Kate Spruill, after which they took their places in booths reserved for guests. The young folks enjoyed several hours of dancing and talking, during which time Miss Kate Spruill and Miss Norma Davenport served home-made candies. At 10:30 the guests assembled at the tables and were served chicken salad on lettuce, Celery, pickles, saltines and cold drinks.
