Power
“1 had five inquiries before the
ink dried on the newspaper,” said
Thos. H. Shipman as he genially
smiled and whirled around in his
swivel chair to cheerfully pay 17
cents for advertising a cow in
the Brevard News.
“Her superiqr qualities must
have been known by everybody,”
replied the News man in an in
terrogative style as though the
little ads in the Diversified col
umn had no producing power.
“No, not that,” replied the
banker. **An advertisement in
the News always brings results
for me.”

These are two of Mr. Milam’s favorite compositions. Although simple they are
beautiful. Choir and congregation experience no trouble in learning them readily
and this enables the choirmaster to inject into these popular pieces a good deal of
ginger and pep that make them “catchy” and they aie highly enjoyed and partici
pated in by the full congregation.
