When a number of tho fanners
of the county made application for
a charter for a local Farm Loan
Association, there were many

number increased. In the mean
time, sonm of tho ori;^inal ap
plicants withdrew their aj>plica-
tions.
Finally, tho charter for the Lo
cal Farm Loan Association was re
ceived tho latter ])»rt «*f Aut'us-t,
and work was bej^ua.
The ii])])rovi'd list of charter
memliers included twenty-six aj)
plieants, with loans a]»prt»vetl

number of the ai)])Hcants were held

The first abstract of tho title of a
borrower was forwarded to tlie
Federal Land Bank of Colt.mbia,
