Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gillespie are visiting their daughter, Mrs. Sam Brown, near Pickens, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McCall of Pisgah Forest spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Galloway. Jessie Chapman is back home after several months over sea. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Combs left Saturday morning for New Port, Tenn. to attend the funeral of their little granddaughter. Misses Willie Mae and Ruby Gal loway spent Sunday evening with Miss Pearl Combs. Edwin and Gaston Morgan spent Sunday ^ith Wilfred Galloway. BLUE BIRD. FOR THE BEST BEEF AND PORK GO TO SLEDGE’S. NAUNEWS Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Reid enter tained quite a number of their friends Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Jane Hinkle and children are on the sick list. Mr. Hall Hinkle has returned home after spending a few months in Fla. Walter and Doyle Kimsey are work ing a few day for Mr. Bud Reid. Mrs. W. E. Head and Misses Dora and Pearl Kimsey visited Mrs. E. C. Lyda last Sunday afternoon. C. F. Reid visited his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Reid Sun day. We are now having a very good Sunday school at Traveler’s Rest Church. Miss Estelle and her brother, Clyde Hubbard, of Carson Creek spent a few days with their sister, Mrs. E. C. Lyda. Mrs. Elizabeth Burrell is visiting her grandaughter, Mrs. George Bed- dingfield, of Quebec. Miss Pauline Parker spent Satur day with her friend, Mrs. D. L. Green. Waitsel Johnson made a call at Mr. J. R. Kimsey’s Sunday. Mrs. George Alexander and daughter, Ella, visited Mrs. Bud Reid Sunday afternoon. Henry Hinkle made a business trip to Lake Toxaway Friday. Rev. Wade Nicholson it to prcach at Traveler’s Rest Church Saturday night and Sunday.
