The birth right was Jacobs now, and the pottage ■was Esau’s. His hunger was satis fied for an hour or two, but Ijis birth right was gone. Th« hunger would soon return, but the birthright never could be his again. He had traded rank, position, power, possession, headship, special Divine and very blessed promises for one morsel of food. There are several things to notice in the terrible folly of such bartering. One is that the present is not all. For the instant it seemed all.
