Thin, watery blood de >r .v the body of energy and causes a playedout feeling not unlike utter ex haustion. «A man with weak blood has not the full use of h:s powers. He lacks decision, and vacillates un. til he loses self-confidence. Some men, and women too, go faltering along for months scarcely realizing that they neea tiu a to- Mangan, the blood builder. Sul when they have taken it for a while, what a differance there is in the feelings! The old-time vigor and the red-blooded hue of good health return. The new rich blood gets to work, building, fortifying, lifting the spirit up to its normal standard. Physicians have prescribed Gude’s Pepto-Mangan for years as a blood- builder. Druggists sell it in liqu i and tablet form. Look for the name “Gude’s Pepto-Mangan” on the pack age. Advt. DYPHTHERIA ^-QXIN , ANTI-TOXIN. Having had a communication from the State Board of Health expound ing the virtues of prophylathic treat ment and prevention of diphtheria and being interested in this subject we have consulted our local physi cians and find that we have a few people v/ho have been progressive enough to have had their children : already vaccinated. I Toxin anti-toxin, when properly I given, is a preventive for diphther- j ia for life. The New York State I Board of Health, which is the finest in the United States, used toxin anti- j toxin first seven years ago and those I children who were given toxin anti- j toxin have been tested every year I since, the test being negative, in 1 other words these children are not susceptible. Practically all children between the ages of six months and eiprht years are susceptible to dip- theria if exposed. Anyone desiring to know whether 01* not they are susceptible to dip- theria should consult a physician and be schick tested. Attention has been called to this subject by Dr. Wallis in these cOi- lumns. Additional literature has Jaeen published by the State Board of Health and too much emphasis cannot be given to the fact that diph theria is preventable.
