'‘Keeping Watch”
There are prayers which we can
not finish on our knees. They can
he ended only in some field of duty.
There are many illustrations.
Your neighbor is in some trouble, ourselves, nor does prayer,
you hear of it, and, being a believer ™"st pray for others, and if we pray
in prayer, you go to your place of ^or our neighbors, we must go forth
id^dtion and plead that God would | answer their cries for help,
send him the help he needs. Butj ' Never let us forget the words of
ahnost certainly prayer is not the our blessed Lord, “In as much as ye
duty of the hour. Rather it is to did it not to me.” But ever let us
rise from your knees and go to your pray for the relief of others in dis-

prayer is not all our duty.
Oftentimes we must go out to
answer our own prayers. There is
too much selfish praying—^praying
•only for ourselves. Such prayers
are not heard. The Lord’s Prayer
tcachcs us that we must include all
men in our supplicates. Love never
ends with ourselves, nor does prayer;
•we must pray for others, and if we
pray for our neighbors we must go
forth to answer their cries for help,!
while we pray for those in distress,!
we must open our hand toward those :
who need. j
It is the weakness of many peoples
prayers that they and with their ut

are only idly waiting on God to do
what He is waiting for us to do. We

The T. E. L. Class of the Brevard
Baptist church, with their husbands

An old time candy pulling was the
main feature of the events, and was
held on the lawn.
The lawn was handsomely decor

electric wires strung through the
front windows.
Mrs. C. S. Osborne and Mrs. D. F.
Moore were the hosts for the occa

DESPAIRUIRKS
IN WEAK BLOOD
Gudovs Pepto-Manga^, The Blood
Builder, Arouses Dull
Faculties.
Many a man and many a woman
feels all out of soi^s from thin, weak
ened blood. The least little thing
gone wrong throws them into a wild
form of despondency. Instead of
bracing up and meeting ordinary
difficulties, they are downed. Nerves
are on edge. Appetite lags. Sleep
is restlciss. They are weak and tired
and dull. Poor blood works its ha
voc till the will loses its power. Few
people who fall into habitjb of worry
and despondency realize that most
of their troubles are due to lack of
endurance—to blood that has be
come weakened by overwork or
straining.
Healthy men and women with
rich, red blood see things brightly.
They tackle life with zaist and go a-
long smilingly, full of eagerness and
endurance.
Gude’s Pepto-Mangan taken stea
dily restored the blood to its natural
richness. It actually makes red cor
puscles, the tiny particles in blood
which make it red. Druggists have
Gude’s Pepto-Mangan in licquid and
tablet form. Adv.

Prayer for the relief of others in
distress must be followed at once by
personal ministries of love. We are
to pray and then to hasten out, fill
ed with the ispirit, to do the work
that needs to be done.
Praying is not all, we must follow
our prayers with work, duty watch
ing, service, or they never will be
answered.

had enjoyed one of the most pleasant
evenings they had ever known.

Do Dreams
Come True?
All of us have our dreams. Some of them come true and some of
them remain dreams. But of all the dreams we dream^ there is one
that stands out above the rest, one that glows In little warmer and that
brings greater Joy when it does come true* * That dream we cherish
above all others because we find in it our
“HOME OF DREAMS"
And each of us has his own ^*dream home/^ One into which has been
built all that expresses and satisfies our individual tastes and require
ments* One that embodies all our own ideas of what a real home
should be* And that home is a Better Home» built~of Better Mater-
ialst built to be lived in and enjoyed for many years to come* You
have a dream of a home* Will you make it come true or will you buy
somebody's cast-off? Or, if ypu. build, will you be satisfied with just
an ordinary house erected out of ordinary materials?
We can make your HOME OF DREAMS COME TRUE! We
cater especially to home builders and are advocaters of better homes*
With our help you can build your ''Dream Home'' for the same
money that you would have put into an ordinary house. Among
our plans you will find Your Home or one which, with a few
changes, is just what you have in mind. We want you and the wife
to come around and tell us about the home you want to build—it
won^t obligate you at all and we promise that you'll learn something*
