Sitton returned to his cot tage here after a three day’s visit to his many relatives in Pendleton, S. C. Julia Breedlove died Tuesday morning about 4 o’clock. He lived six miles below Namur, and was buried at the Toxaway cemetary. In order to get to the burying ground —^^vhich was fifteen miles distant— ^he route taken on account of the condition of the roads was thirty miles. The funeral party went to Tomassee, took the old turnpike lead ing to Cashier’s, and finally reached water falls to Lake Toxoway the the Toxaway cemetary. From White- i water Falls to Lake Toxaway the ; roads are impassable. I don’t suppose there will be a vot er from this section that will cast his (or her) ballot this year, because j it will be impossible to get to the ; voting precinct. The roads are in such condition that you can hardly travel them with an empty wagon. Several parties have come a portion of the way from South Carolina, but turned back on account of the con- , dition of the roads. I HARRISON TATE"" Home Patriotism!
