Clark and Son’s Com bined Shows will exhibit in Brevard, Monday, September 11. The big show will arrive here aboard its special train of railroaj cars, with all its magnitude and granduer, reveal ing a fairyland ever so dear to child hood’s happy days. Enlarged two fi fold of its former size, the M. L. ^ Clark and Son’s Shows has grown and pro?pered during the past quarter of a century, until today its appearance is hailea as an annual festive holi day. Many new and unparalleled fea ture of magnificence, novelty, daring and vastness will be displayed in this \^?ason’s big show. Foremost among the feature acts will be the Davenport family of equestrians and riders; the Silverton trio, intrepid equilibrists; the Alpine Sisters, daring dancers on a lofty wire; the Apeda troupe of gymnasts and the Siegrist family of ^ incomparable aerialists. A score of i clowns headed by Arthur Berry, Ab Johnson, Pete Jenkins, Waggles and Valdo, will furnish fun for the little folks. The menaregie of the famous Clark show contains many interesting spe cimens of wild animals, among them being Mena, an elephant 10 feet and 1) inches in height, the largest land animal in captivity, being 2 inches taller than the famed Jumbo. A 10 cage zoo contains African and Nu bian black mained lions, tigers, jua- jruars and leopards. There will be two performances, the doors opening at 1 and 7 P. M. A free exhibition will be held on the show grounds proceeding each perfor mance, in addition to a concert of po pular and operatic selections by Prof. Jas. Norman and his military band. Th etown and surrounding country is heavily billej for the appearance of the big show and a record break ing crowd is anticipated. A. W.
